We do not recommend painting the exterior of your house during the winter.

The first reason being that cold temperatures significantly impact the paint’s ability to stick to surfaces correctly which could lead to multiple problems such as an uneven finish, peeling and bubbling.

Stucco in particular causes big problems during the cold because it forces the paint to expand uncontrollably which leads to issues in the future. Cold temperatures also lead to condensation inconsistencies which forces moisture to stick to surfaces preventing the paint from drying properly.

The best practice during the winter would be to focus on interior painting and renovations.
